J.E.M.S.™ is Jason Eugene Smith’s multidisciplinary Creative Artist identity: writer, storyteller, recording artist, songwriter, producer/director of AI-assisted music, designer and executive. His primary instrument is the pen. He develops work from lived experience, research, imagination, visual thinking and the sound he hears internally, then uses traditional and modern creative tools—including AI—to realize the finished work without presenting himself as a traditional vocalist or instrumentalist. The catalog can move across R&B, soul, hip-hop, gospel, pop, country, adult contemporary and cinematic forms while preserving one authorship-driven creative identity. J.E.M.S. is the flagship Creative Artist of Silent X Records Inc. within an artist-owned ecosystem connecting label/master operations, Silent X Publishing Co., Song Haus and Silent X media.

I am a Creative Artist because nobody else gets to define what my artistry is allowed to look like. The thought, writing, source, sound and intention begin with me; I use creative tools to help deliver the finished form. My primary instrument is the pen. J.E.M.S. has permission to be unapologetically free—to speak what comes to mind, explore the world and the universe with no cap on what the art may become, and understand that all sounds are music.
